Tourist camp "Shareula" is located in the farthest west of Racha region at outfall of Rivers Rioni and Shareula, in delightful place surrounded by mountainous relief of mixed forest (at a distance of 290km from Tbilisi, 64km from Kutaisi, and 25km from Ambrolauri). Camp takes 2 hectare enclosed and protected territory.
The only tour operator equipped with appropriate infrastructure in the region, "Shareula" Ltd, gives you an opportunity to share unique natural conditions and cultural values of two Georgian historical provinces Racha and Lechkhumi, which has been less assimilated yet in view of tourism, to introduce closely traditional environment far from civilization, distinguished with distinctive rule of life and to rest in healthy conditions in ecological point of view.
Guests of the camp will be provided with various tourist programs, service of qualified guides, transport means, tents and sleepy bags. There is restaurant, where guests will have an opportunity to taste masterpieces of famous Georgian cuisine and unique wines. In the camp comfortable shower-baths and bathroom unit are functioning.
Tourist camp "Shareula" was established in 2012. Our main target is to assimilate rich tourist potential of Racha-Lechkhumi in all its aspects, so that local natural conditions will not be damaged and traditional cultural environment will be maximally maintained.
Uniqueness of Racha-Lechkhumi region is conditioned by difficult landscape-geographical characteristics, which in historical point of view prevented from assimilation of that part of the county. Accordingly, Racha-Lechkhumi has been created in itself as naturally protected territory, where till present time there is ecologically healthy environment with flora and fauna endemic patterns, unique drinking waters and traditional rule of life kept within the centuries by local population (agriculture, architecture and etc.). World-famous species of wines (Khvanchkara, Ojaleshi, Usakhelauri) were grown in this region only and besides by usage of the oldest technology. It is well-known fact that seeds for reproduction of Christmas trees are taken only from Racha in the whole world, whereas fir-tree cropped on it in different natural conditions has unique ability of adaptation.
